Holding the US oil & gas industry accountable
For CARA (Centre of Asset Retirement Accountability), we deliver a full retainer services contract for their benchmark Upstream platform—an extensive data resource tracking oil and gas wells, ownership and production across the United States.
Our work began with the creation of a new corporate identity, including logo, typography and colour palette, alongside the design and development of a new public-facing landing page. We then coordinated, managed and executed the platform migration and then took ownership of the platform’s ongoing maintenance, stability and growth following CARA’s acquisition.
Upstream aggregates decades of data through a sophisticated ETL pipeline connected to official state sources, enabling transparency around production, operators, ownership history and transactions. We are retained to continue modernising the technology stack to ensure scalability and successfully launch new States andare proud to have launched New Mexico as the first new state dataset—paving the way for continued expansion and supporting CARA in their quest to hold industry accountable for retirement of aging and abandoned assets.
